What your ISP pays ImaraISP or your reseller, the usage behind it, and what happens when you go over
ImaraISP bills your ISP in billable units: active subscribers, routers, hotspot logins, payments processed, SMS segments, team seats and so on. Your plan includes a quantity of each; usage above that is charged as overage at list price. Nothing is ever switched off because you grew.
These pages live under Settings, in the Account group: Your subscription and Billing.
Your subscription

The header names the plan and period, for example "Growth plan · period 1 Sep–28 Sep". Compare plans (Owner only) shows the other plans on offer.
Usage this period
One bar per billable unit, under "Usage this period · projected to month end". Each shows used against included, for example "Active subscribers 440 / 500 included", "Routers 6 / 10 included" and "SMS sent 1,200 / 2,000 included".
- When you are over, an amber line gives the overage and its price in your currency, for example "30 over · KES 300 each".
- When you are on track to go over, a grey line under the bar reads "88%, will exceed around 12 Sep". The projection uses your usage so far in the period.
Bandwidth is never a billable unit.
Estimated invoice
The box totals what this period will cost if usage stays where it is: the plan fee, then one line per unit you are over, for example "ROUTER over (30 × KES 300)". It ends with the sentence "Overage at list price. Never blocked."
Buying more in the bundle is always cheaper than paying for the same quantity as overage, which is why a suggestion sometimes appears below, for example "Scale plan costs KES 9,000, saves ~KES 2,250/mo at your usage." with an Upgrade link.
Recent invoices
Past periods with their total and status, for example "This period · KES 6,800 · PROJECTED" and "Last month · KES 5,500 · PAID". Empty state: "No invoices yet. Your first invoice will appear at the end of this period."
If your ISP has no plan at all the page says "No subscription yet. This tenant is not on a plan. Your reseller or the platform team sets one up, nothing to do here until then."
Going over, past due and suspended
| State | Effect |
|---|---|
| Over an included amount | Nothing is blocked. Overage accrues at list price and a banner shows it |
| Hard cap (only if your plan opts in) | Creating a new service, router or seat returns a message with an upgrade link. Existing ones are untouched |
| Past due | A banner and reminder emails. Every function keeps working |
| Suspended | The admin app becomes read-only for staff |
| Cancelled | An export is offered; after 30 days subscriber logins are removed |
Your subscribers are never cut off by your bill
Even when the ISP's own subscription is suspended, subscriber logins, reconnects after payment, M-Pesa callbacks, portal purchases and cashier mark-paid all keep working. Suspension limits what staff can change in the admin app; it never touches the subscribers' service.
Billing

Billing shows the terms your reseller (or ImaraISP) has set for your ISP, and the draft invoice for the open period. The subtitle reads, for example, "Nairobi Fibre · invoiced by Ridgeline Reseller · period 1–27 Sep". A period selector and Usage CSV export sit in the header.
Four stat cards:
- Pricing model: Fixed, Revenue share or Hybrid, with the terms underneath, for example "2% gross · KES 5,000 min · since Mar 2026".
- Share base · collected: the amount your revenue share is computed on, split by payment provider and cash plus vouchers.
- Units over included: how many units are over their included quantity, and how many of your units are billable.
- Draft total: what the period comes to so far, including VAT, and when the period closes.
The Billable units table has Unit, Metered from, Month so far, Qty, Incl., Rate and amount columns (headed with your currency). A "rolled up 21:00" marker shows when usage was last totalled, and a note says when the rate card is inherited from your reseller ("rate card inherited from Ridgeline Reseller"). The bar in each row is the quantity against the included allowance; it turns orange once over. Empty state: "No billable units on this rate card."
The right rail holds the Draft invoice (each line, Subtotal, VAT at your rate, Total, and how it is paid: through your payment provider or deducted from settlements) and Terms history, a month-by-month record of pricing changes. Terms changes take effect next period; the running period is never repriced. Past invoices lists closed periods with their totals; "Your first invoice appears once your first billing period closes."
The VAT line uses your country's standard rate (16% in Kenya and 18% in Uganda, for example; 0% where no rate is on file) unless a VAT rate was set for your workspace or above it in Config inheritance.
An ISP nobody has priced yet sees "No billing terms set yet. Your parent tenant hasn't priced this tenant yet."
